Warner Home Video have been trying to stop 321 Studios from selling their DVD copying software in the UK.
Facing law suits from seven other US based firms, 321 Studios are going to fight them all the way.
Chief Executive of 321 Studios, Rob Semaan said,
"The [UK] lawsuit mirrors similar actions in the US. Once both sides have eventually clarified all questions, the court will set a timetable for the case. We believe we have a solid argument, and that our customers have the right to make back-ups of legally purchased DVDs for their own personal use. We will fight it all the way, and are certainly not prepared to take it lying down or shut up shop and go away."
Claiming people who own DVDs already are not breaking the law by backing them up, 321 Studios are skating on thin ice, claiming it takes an hour to backup a DVD using their software, where as a professional could copy tens of DVDs in the same amount of time.
The case continues.
