GTA : Chinatown Wars and the drug dealing side game
Sunday, September 28, 2008 at 12:57 by Mark Benson
In a move which is sure to court serious controversy and possibly push the regulators around the world to make serious moves against such subject matter, the drug dealing side game in GTA : Chinatown Wars is set to spark a serious debate. Rockstar head Dan Houser has confirmed that the next game in GTA series for the Nintendo DS will have a side game allowing players to deal in drugs!

While it would be foolish to suggest that such transactions did not go on in everyday life, and the game is likely to come with a minimum age limit, it would also be foolish to believe that young children do not play these games. Is this a serious lesson in older life or introducing children to an area of life which should not be glamorised?

When you consider that items such as heroine, cocaine, pot, tablets, acid and downers are even mentioned in the game this really could be the game which gives the regulators an excuse to crackdown on the industry. The game itself looks to be one of the best in the GTA series, if the early feedback is anything to go by, but the drug dealing side game on the DS Handheld version may well take the headlines away from the game itself!
