While it has been designed and built under the tightest security Canon has ever created it seems that even one of the leading camera manufacturers in world is still prone to the odd blip and mistake. Details of the forthcoming Canon EOS 50D DSLR Camera have been leaked to the rest of world after someone at the group added the page to the website and forgot to secure access!
This is not the first time the group has encountered such a blip prior to launch with details of the Canon EOS 5D Mark II Camera appearing on the Amazon website prior to official release.
While the rogue page was quickly take down it seems that Photography Bay was able to grab the details and take a copy before they disappeared. The new camera is centred upon a 15.1 megapixel CMOS sensor, has a DIGIC 4 processor and Auto Brightness Processing. The Canon EOS 50D DSLR Camera is able to accommodate 6.3fps in high speed mode and 3fps in low speed mode.
The device itself is made of magnesium alloy for strength and durability, offers a 920,000 point VGA 3.0 inch LCD monitor and a 100,000 cycle shutter. While we often mock Apple for their ability to leak stories as and when they want, if only Canon was able to stage manage its high tech releases a bit better they might hit the headlines for the right reasons! |
