Apple Set To Release 160 iPhone Games
Friday, July 11, 2008 at 23:29 by Peter Smith
As the launch of the new iPhone hits the streets it has been announced that over 500 new downloads will soon be made available, 160 of which will be games for the iPhone. Whether a fraudulent slip, or another attempt to grab the headlines, the news was ‘accidentally' leaked by Steve Jobs as the drip feed of iPhone news continues.

Interestingly for a company which has been very active in maximising income streams, 25% of the downloads will be free and 90% will cost less than $9.99. It has also been revealed that developers of the array of games and application downloads coming to an iPhone near you will receive 70% of the income generated by their software packages. The fact that Apple has increased the income level for developers is interesting and shows how confident they are that the new iPhone will be the best selling phone of all time.

So what games would you like to see on the new iPhone? What applications do you think would do well in the ever changing world of mobile technology?

Post your thoughts and comments here and let us know if you believe the hype surrounding the new handset and what YOU actually want to see in the future.
