The latest release from the Large Software stable is the PC Tune-Up 2.0 software package, which aims to breathe new life into your old PC and give you the chance to regain those processing speeds the machine came with. While the vast majority of performance enhancement software on the market seems to highlight and attack the existence of malware and spyware on your machine, the PC Tune-Up 2.0 package works on the registry – the inner workings of your machine.
Unknown to many PC owners, each time you install and uninstall a software package the chances are that part of the original package will be retained in your PC's registry, just in case you decide to re-install at a later date. There are also many everyday actions which your machine will execute which can result in precious memory being used in the registry, which will ultimately slowdown your machine.
Apparently the PC Tune-Up 2.0 package is able to identify these unused files and clean up the base of your registry, allowing more memory to be freed and reduce the amount of times your processor is sent on a random goose chase, trying to find files which have been deleted or moved. |
