MSN Hotmail is now Windows Windows Live Hotmail. The public re-launch of the e-mail service is what many consider the most significant upgrade since it's launch in 1996.
The e-mail service now resembles Outlook more then it's former self. It's allows you to drag-and-drop things, automatically complete an e-mail address, and much more – Windows Live Hotmail also comes with a better spam blocker and 2 gigabytes of storage, which beats Yahoo! mail's free storage capacity..
You can also opt for the paid version, Windows Live Hotmail Plus, which features double the storage space, and a few more bonus features.
The beta stage of Windows Live Hotmail had over 20 million users, and it's expected to grow even more.
Later in the month, Outlook 2003 and 2007 users will be able to access their Windows Live Hotmail e-mail and contacts with no extra charge when using the beta version of Microsoft Outlook Connector.
For current Hotmail users to take advantage of Windows Live Hotmail they must first upgrade their accounts, but never fear – all saved information, including contacts, can be transferred to the new system, so you don't have to lose a thing.
