Due this week, an update which includes Windows Live Messenger support, and much more for the Xbox 360 has every 360 fan extremely excited.
For those who can't seem to keep off the phone, or an instant messenger service, the addition of Windows Messenger is extremely exciting. You can chat with others who have a 360, those using a Windows PC, and even anyone who has a Windows-powered mobile device – all from the seventh generation gaming system from Windows. Best of all, it's completely free to both Silver and Gold members!
To chat, you can use a virtual keyboard, you could connect a USB keyboard to your 360, or you can use the brand new QWERTY keyboard which attaches directly to the Xbox 360 controller.
These are the two biggest additions to the 360 in the update, but it also includes a few other features, and unique enhancements.
Like the Xbox Live Arcade, which makes it easier for you see what arcade games your friends are playing (and jump in), you can also compare progress on leaderboard scores.
A new Xbox Live Marketplace blade allows members to access content they've wanted – like games, movies, and TV shows. However, as of now, this is only available to those who live in the US.
