Symantec has issued a report which warns of instability and security risks in early releases of Microsofts latest Vista.
Symantecs report was produced after examining Microsoft's latest Vista release and the issues raised are related to the new networking technology, which has several security flaws.
The researchers at Symantec concluded that Vista could be less stable than Windows XP, at least for the immediate future.
It is worth noting that the tests were conducted on beta code which is designed for testing purposes only and bugs identified during this process are fixed with each build.
Shoot - ... it's still in Beta, Symantec better watch out issuing statemnts like that can get them in hot water on a product that is not finished yet.. heck... any reporter issuing pre-judgement usually has an ulterior motive.

Maybe Symantec should write some anti-virus that doesn't crash, use up large amounts of system resources and refuse to uninstall before writing reports about stability and security. Maybe they tested Vista while they had their anti-virus running?
