Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 Released
Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at 20:07 by Simon Spicer
In a bid to beat back the rising competition from the Firefox and Opera, Microsoft has released the latest Beta version of Internet Explorer. The new version available from today includes many fixes after feedback and bug reports from the previous public releases.

The new browser includes improved security, RSS feeds, toolbar search and that great feature tabbed browsing (long available in Firefox and Opera),

The latest version is currently availble in English but Microsoft will be releasing German, Finnish, Arabic, and Japanese versions over the next three weeks.

Microsoft say "This beta is another step to our goal of delivering a safer and easier browsing experience when we release the final IE7 product in the second half of this year."

Microsoft have even taken the extra step of offering free phone support to consumers in North America, Germany and Japan (but not in the UK!). The move has been taken to try and encourage more members of the public to try the Beta.
