McAfee, Inc. today announced that it has partnered with Sony Ericsson to provide mobile security solutions on Sony Ericsson's new P990i smartphone and M600i.
McAfee VirusScan Mobile is the only product designed from the ground-up for mobile protection. It provides advanced scanning, detection and cleaning of mobile data to prevent corruption due to viruses, worms, spyware, malware, and other technology abuses. VirusScan Mobile protects devices against the threats that originate from email, instant messaging, and Internet downloads, and protects multiple entry points including SMS, MMS, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Up-to-date protection is delivered as soon as threats are identified through McAfee's leading research organization, AVERT.

McAfee VirusScan Mobile and McAfee Firewall Mobile will be included with Sony Ericsson's P990i and M600i phones and available to users via a free 30- day trial with the option to renew on an annual basis. McAfee VirusScan Mobile and McAfee Firewall Mobile are individually priced at $29.99 or the combined suite can be purchased for $39.99 per annual subscription.
