Microsoft launch another viral marketing site
Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at 23:16 by Andy Holliday
Software giants Microsoft have launched another viral marketing website which is almost certain to be another plug for the launch of the exciting new Xbox 360 gaming console.

Origenxbox360.com is a site that contains a single page of flash showing a tree, a green bunny, and a numerical countdown in the background. Gamers familiar with Microsoft's previous viral marketing campaigns ilovebees and ourcolony will be used to it by now but it's not quite clear what the purpose of this campaign is.... yet.

The countdown will end on Tuesday September 27th at 12pm, this surely can't be the launch of the console, it's got to be way too early, after all it will be a tall order to release the console in time for Christmas let alone November.

The site does have a few cryptic clues such as a rabbit that appears to be hiding a 360 console but if the other campaigns are anything to go by, more and more clues will be added closer to the 27th September. If you have any thoughts or inside info as to what the date could be, please do let us know in the comments section below. As always we will let you know if anything significant happens.
