Ken Kutaragi, Sony's Computer Entertainment president and CEO, has revealed that the launch date for the Sony PSP in the US and Europe will be sometime in March, 2005.
The Sony PSP (Playstation Portable) is Sony's first foray into the hand held gaining market, and indications so far from it's Japanese launch are that this is going to be a must have gadget.
The PSP is the first serious rival that Nintendo have had in the world handheld gaming market, and it is already looking set to be a Nintendo beater. Features such as wireless gaming capabilities, the ability to play movies as well as a very impressive gaming lineup are all combining to make this a very desirable piece of kit. We look forward to comparing it with the Nintendo DS when it does come out, and we'll be sure to let you know what we think when we do.
