Sony deny PSP delay rumour
Thursday, July 01, 2004 at 11:37 by Craig Beaumont
Sony have denied that their entry into the handheld market will miss its predicted March 2005 launch date due to a lack of development kits being made available to developers, with some reports claiming that no developers currently have any kits at all!

It is not only games developers that will require the dev kits, if Sony truly wants to make the PSP a portable entertainment centre, anyone who wants to put media on to the PSP will need a kit.

This means music labels, TV and movie studios will not be able provide content until the kits have been distributed.
