Following on from their UK launch earlier this month, Napster, the original music sharing network, have now launched their legal music service in Canada. Offering a slightly different service to that provided by iTunes and other online music download sites, Napster is a subscription service where you can elect to pay a monthly service charge in return for the ability to listen to hundreds of thousands of tracks on demand.
As well as this, you can store tracks on up to three PC's for offline listening, as well as have the option to purchase tracks for CDN $1.19, or CDN $9.95 for a whole album. The Napster software also allows you to listen to mp3's you already own, as well as rip music onto your machine from CD's you already own.
Napster Canada are currently running a free seven day trial of their service, and with only an eleven megabyte download standing between you and hundreds of thousands of tracks, we don't see why you shouldn't take advantage of that kind offer.
