Spam winner gets Porsche
Friday, April 30, 2004 at 10:17 by Laurence Norah
Charles Chase, a 73 year old american gentleman, has won a Porsche Boxster S in an online sweepstakes run by America Online (AOL). The Porsche was formerly the property of a spammer who was sued by AOL who confiscated the vehicle following their legal victory.

Chase is already the proud owner of two vehicles, but it's likely that the Subaru and Ford Focus will be parked on the street to make room for the Boxster in the garage.

Over one million people entered the online sweepstakes run by AOL, which ended on the 8th of April 2004. If more spammers had this kind of treatment, maybe our e-mail inboxes would be less full of junk.
