Sony PSP delayed until 2005
Wednesday, February 25, 2004 at 23:02 by Rich Kavanagh
Sony have announced they are to delay the U.S. launch of their handheld gaming console until 2005.

The device known as the PSP will still be launched in Japan in 2004 however.

A spokesperson for Sony Computer Entertainment said,

"The reason we pushed it out here is we wanted to be sure there's a reasonable amount of software titles to launch with hardware."

The PSP is also rumoured to include a digital video and music player too, which could make it rival popular devices such as the Apple iPod and Nokia N-Gage.
