Thursday, February 12, 2004 at 21:39 by Rich Kavanagh
An Internet piracy group known as Razor1911 have had their leader imprisoned and fined.

Thirty eight year old Sean Breen has been the man behind the group since 1990.

Razor1911 are notoriously well known on the underground warez scene for releasing literally hundreds of computer games onto the Internet, many of them even before their shipping date to stores.

Sean Breen also pleaded guilty to defrauding network specialist firm Cisco Systems to the tune of half a million dollars.

He and an accomplice set up a false company called Comptel Logistics and using a hacked Cisco customer account, ordered over $600,000 dollars worth of equipment, which he then sold on the black market.

Sean Breen pleaded guilty to all the charges and has been ordered to pay back $609,000 dollars to Cisco Systems and has been imprisoned for four years.
