SCO's website attacked again
Wednesday, December 10, 2003 at 22:57 by Rich Kavanagh
SCO, rapidly gaining infamy for their legal battle with IBM and other users of Linux, are under attack yet again.

The firm are, as we write this, suffering a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack against their website.

Their website has been offline since 2pm this afternoon and is still unaccessible now.

SCO spokesperson Blake Stowell said,

"This is the third time this year an unknown attacker has brought down our site. We suspect someone in the open source community is behind these illegal activities. The two previous attacks were cleaned up in 24 hours or so and we expect the site to go live again Thursday morning. If it's anything like the last attack, then it would probably be someone from the Linux community, but there's no way of knowing that for 100 percent sure."

The attack is also affecting SCO's email system.

UPDATE: SCO's claims are probally false, read more.
